Objectives Of Durgapur Small Industries Association
- The Durgapur Small Industries Association (DSIA) was established in the year 1969 with the sole objective of promotion and growth of micro level, small as well as medium segment enterprises throughout the city by providing infrastructure and also by extending support for high potentiality in respect of employment generation.
- Over the years, DSIA has grown significantly, both in size and influence. The association eventually moved to its own office space at Dr. Zakir Hussain Ave, Industrial Area, Durgapur, West Bengal 713206, marking a significant milestone in its journey. With time, numerous small-scale ventures from the area of Durgapur aligned themselves with DSIA, recognizing the benefits of being part of a collective that advocates for their interests and provides essential support.
- DSIA has played a crucial role in the industrial growth of the Durgapur area, helping countless small businesses bloom into successful enterprises. By fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and championing the cause of small industries, DSIA has become a cornerstone of Durgapur’s industrial ecosystem.
- Durgapur Small Industries Association (DSIA) was chartered with the mission to support and uplift small-scale industries in the Durgapur region. Starting from a modest rented space, DSIA was born out of the need to create a platform that would bring together small ventures, providing them with the resources, networking opportunities, and guidance required to thrive in a competitive market. A key focus of DSIA has been helping and guiding new entrepreneurs, particularly women, to establish and grow their businesses in Durgapur.
- We have been monitoring peaceful industrial relationships with work since 1990 and entering into the tripartite wage agreement ensuring a win-win situation for either party.
- Engaging with various government Agencies to ensure that all compliance is given to members in the time board manner in a broad manner and that the grievances of members are quickly resolved
- Conducting seminars and workshops regularly with bank government Agencies like PF, ESI GST, IT, Banks ISO and quality control authority, and green energy for upgradation of knowledge and understanding of the latest development of the various sectors.
- Acting as a model group to create peer presence on local PSU like DSP, ASP, etc to and patronize local entrepreneurs of Durgapur.
- Helping guiding new entrepreneurs especially woman entrepreneurs to convey and set new industries in Durgapur creating markable jobs for the locals
